PIB Library and Newspaper Archives consist of four sections namely, Library, Newspaper Archives, Microfilm Unit and Cyber Corner. The infrastructure facilities and activities of these sections are as follows:

• Book Section:
  The PIB library has 11 thousand books. There is a newspaper achieves in which 27 dailies and 13 magazines are preserved. The cyber corner of the library offers digital opportunity for the visitors to navigate into knowledge dooms of the online world.
  
  
• Newspaper Archives:
  This section procures and preserves 25 national and international dailies and 19 magazines along with more than hundred local and regional newspapers of Bangladesh. This section prepares computerized databases on important national and international news, magazines articles, journal articles and Directory of newspapers and magazines available here at PIB.
  
  
• Cyber Corner:
  PIB Cyber Corner provides internet services on payment.
  
  
• Database:
  PIB library and Newspaper Archives creates 05 computerized bibliographic databases namely – (1) Journal Articles, (2) Magazine Articles, (3) Directory of Newspapers and Magazines available in PIB, (4) News of national dailies; and (5) Books of the library: These databases are now carrying about 14,721 entries.
